April 11, 2017—KB4015221 (OS Build 10240.17354) Review

This update consists of quality improvements. No brand-new operating system features are being presented in this upgrade. Key changes consist of:

  • Attended to issue where the copy operation stops working when copying a file that has Encrypted File System (EFS) file encryption to a share that is not secured by EFS.
  • Resolved a concern where CredentialGuard-enabled computers signed up with to Active Directory domains send two bad logon attempts each time a bad password is offered throughout a Kerberos-based logon. Logons to Active Directory site domains with arbitrarily low account lockout thresholds may be subject to unanticipated account lockouts. For example, 2 logons with a bad password could result in an account being locked out if the account lockout threshold is set to 3 or 4.
  • Dealt with problem that prevents the launch of the Delete Surfing History window in Internet Explorer.
  • Attended to a memory leak in Web Explorer when hosting pages including nested framesets that pack cross domain content.
  • Resolved extra concerns with updated time zone information, updates to the Access Point Name database and Internet Explorer.
  • Security updates to Scripting Engine, libjpeg image-processing library, Hyper-V, Win32k, Adobe Type Supervisor Font Motorist, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Graphics element,. WEB Structure, Lightweight Directory site Gain access to Protocol, Windows kernel mode drivers and Windows OLE.
